We understand that leaving your baby in the hands of someone else is a big decision but we also want to reassure you that your little one is in very safe and professional hands.
We are here to support you and baby. Our baby room has capacity for 9 babies aged from 3 months to approximately 15 months. The staff ratio for our Baby Room is 1 member of staff to every 3 babies. This includes are Unit Head who is responsible for leading her team and ensuring the needs and requirements of each baby is met. Each baby’s routine is different and we will always follow your baby’s own individual routine during the day.
Our baby room is equipped with its own fridge where cooled boiled water is kept for when your baby is thirsty and also to store the fresh fruit which is prepared each morning.
Baby changing facilities are within the room and each child is allocated their own cot within our dedicated sleep room which is communal to both Baby and Wobbler Rooms.
Babies thrive in an environment where they feel secure and loved. Our baby room staff provide responsive and respectful interactions, ensuring each baby’s needs are met with warmth and attentiveness. We create a calm, predictable atmosphere where babies can explore at their own pace. Montessori philosophy encourages freedom of movement from an early age. Our prepared environment includes soft mats, low shelves, and open spaces that allow babies to practice rolling, crawling, and pulling up. Through gentle guidance and age-appropriate materials, we support their physical development naturally and safely.
Even before they can speak, babies absorb language from their surroundings. Our staff engage infants in conversations, sing songs, and read stories to foster early language development. Through eye contact, gestures, and baby sign language, we encourage meaningful communication and bonding. As babies learn through their senses, our Montessori environment is rich in sensory experiences. We provide a variety of natural materials, textures, and activities that stimulate cognitive growth and curiosity, helping our babies make sense of the world around them.
Through respectful caregiving, we help infants develop trust and a sense of security. By allowing them to explore independently while knowing a loving staff member is nearby, we support their growing confidence and autonomy.
